About VHaquarell
VHaquarell is dedicated to the development and production of watercolor paints. Each color is created through a manual production process guided by the material itself. The pigments are carefully observed, and their color behavior informs the ongoing refinement of the formulations.
A portion of these material-related processes is documented alongside production and preserved within a separate archive system. The recordings capture material behavior under specific conditions and exist independently of the product.
The development and production time of a color varies between 2 and 5 months, depending on its composition. Pigments, binders, and clove oil are processed according to clearly structured formulations. The current range includes honey-based colors, metallic colors, chameleon colors, neon colors, as well as curated color sets.
Project overview
The brand was founded in 2022 in Cologne, Germany. Craftsmanship and a commitment to quality are at the focus of the material selection. The paints are produced in multiple successive layers, resulting in the characteristic raised surface in the color pan.
On color development
As an ongoing color project, more than 300 colors have been developed and released to date. The focus lies on the interplay of pigment, surface, and depth, as well as on their interaction with water, light, and paper.
