Formula System

The Formula System consists of the individual formulas developed for each color. Every formula is built according to the material properties of its materials, assigned to its corresponding Binder System, and linked to its production process. Formula records serve as references for later adjustments and future color development.

Binder System

VHaquarell uses two Binder Systems: the Honey Binder System and the Vegan Binder System. Both Binder Systems contain clove oil as a preservative to support long-term binder stability. The Honey Binder System forms the basis of Honey Watercolors, Honey Watercolors Limited Edition, and Neon Watercolors. The Vegan Binder System is used for Metallic Watercolors and Chameleon Watercolors. Each Binder System forms the foundation of its corresponding Formula System.

Pigments

VHaquarell uses different pigment types, including standard pigments, metallic mica pigments, chameleon pigments, and neon pigments. Depending on their material properties, pigments are assigned to different formulas and processed accordingly.

Water

Water is involved throughout different production stages, including mixing, grinding, resting, and later rewetting. Its role changes with each stage of production.

Time

Time is part of the production process. Mixing, resting, drying, and curing require different periods depending on the formula and material properties.

Environment

Environmental conditions accompany different production stages. Temperature, humidity, seasonal conditions, ventilation, and other environmental factors may influence material behavior and become part of later observations and formula adjustments.
