Water is involved throughout the production of handmade Chameleon watercolors.
From preparing the binder and combining it with the pigments to filling the pans and allowing the paint to dry, water accompanies every stage of the process. It remains an important part of long-term observation and continues to be documented throughout production.
The way it is observed, however, differs from other watercolor series.

Material consistency creates more stable working conditions
Long-term observation shows that Chameleon pigments often behave more consistently during production.
Compared with metallic pigments, the materials used within this series tend to remain more uniform. As a result, the overall production process develops under more consistent conditions, making variations related to water easier to observe and compare.
The focus gradually shifts toward the consistent behavior of the material itself.

Water remains part of the documentation
Water continues to be observed throughout the production of handmade Chameleon watercolors.
Under comparable production conditions, differences related to water are often less pronounced than in other watercolor series. This creates a more stable production process while maintaining water as an important part of the overall documentation.
Observation therefore continues without changing its long-term purpose.

Different materials create different priorities for observation
Long-term comparisons between handmade honey watercolors, metallic watercolors, and Chameleon watercolors show that the same production condition does not carry the same significance across different materials.
